Prenatal Care
Routine visits monthly until 28 weeks, bi-weekly until 36 weeks, and weekly until your birth. Extra appointments as needed. Routine labs drawn in-office and referrals given for ultrasounds.
Your care starts with an initial prenatal visit, during which we’ll review your health history, complete a physical exam, and gather initial lab work. From there, we’ll follow a standard schedule for prenatal visits, each lasting 45-60 minutes. These appointments will give us time to discuss your health, answer any questions you may have, and explore topics such as screening and testing options, comfort measures, and birth planning. Midwifery care is rooted in ongoing risk assessment, so if anything arises that requires additional care, I will provide referrals and help you access the appropriate resources to ensure the best outcome for you and your baby.

While this page will tell you a bit about what you can expect from pregnancy care with me, it is always individualized to what you and your family need and desire. Some people may want more or less than what is offered here, and that's okay! I will work alongside you to create a care plan that aligns with your values and preferences. Please let me know how I can best support you during this time.

Compassionate, Family-Centered Care

Labor + Birth Support
One-on-one support at home or birth center throughout active labor, birth, and the first few hours postpartum. Includes a thorough newborn exam (with footprints, of course!)
By the time you go into labor, we’ll have spent plenty of time getting to know each other during your prenatal visits. We’ll have discussed your birth wishes, filled out any paperwork, and talked through what kind of support you’re hoping for. This allows you to focus entirely on your labor. I am there to support you and your family in whatever way you need, helping you feel informed, confident, and empowered throughout your labor.
When it’s time, I’ll meet you at your home or the birth center. Throughout labor, I’ll monitor your and your baby’s wellbeing with assessments such as vitals and heart tones, always staying attuned to any concerns you share. I will communicate clearly with you about everything, and if a higher level of care is needed, I’ll arrange a hospital transfer, send all records, and accompany you if desired. Whether you're at home or at the birth center, I will be there for you, offering reassurance, comfort, and the support you need as you bring your baby into the world.
Postpartum Care
Home visit to check on you and baby on day 1-2, then office visits at 2 weeks, 4 weeks, and 6 weeks. Includes all standard newborn screenings, including hearing screen, congenital heart defect screen (CCHD), and newborn metabolic screen. Pap smears and contraceptive management offered at your final postpartum visit.
You’ve made it to the other side, but the care doesn’t stop here! In the postpartum period, I provide care for you for up to 6 weeks and for your baby for up to 2 weeks. You’ll have several visits, which is intentional—healing and caring for a newborn are full-time jobs, and this is a time of major adjustments. I’m here to help you navigate any challenges that may come your way. Together, we’ll reflect on your birth story, address any questions or concerns, and celebrate the strength, resilience, and transformation you’ve experienced. Postpartum care isn’t just about checking in on physical recovery; it’s about supporting your emotional well-being as you adjust to life with your new baby. I’ll be with you every step of the way, supporting your journey of healing and growth.
